Ruroc is pleased to announce the launch of its latest Shockwave Bluetooth audio system, this time in collaboration with the world-class sound engineers at Harman Kardon. Offering an unmatched audio experience, this latest Shockwave system provides next-level sound quality with all-new speakers and microphone: Tune in and become absorbed in the rhythm of the road.
From short, leisurely rides to long motorway commutes, rider-to-pillion chit-chats to important business phone calls, or even soft acoustic to hardcore heavy-metal, the new Shockwave system is specifically tuned for optimal in-helmet audio quality, no matter how you ride.
With updates across the entire Shockwave platform, riders can expect an improved audio profile, including better voice clarity and tone richness whilst taking calls, and treble boost and bass extension for listening to music at any volume.
Built with Harman Kardon’s technology crafted over 65 years of experience in automotive audio, the new, slimline 40mm hi-fi speakers are designed to provide a listening experience second to none, and the new microphone features Harman Kardon’s noise suppression technology that greatly increases clarity for phone calls and rider-to-pillion communication. Subtly tucked away in the lower cheek pad of the ATLAS, the speakers and microphone also benefit from perfect positioning within the ATLAS to avoid distortion or external noise interference.
Say goodbye to external comms systems with wires that run throughout the helmet: The revolutionary Shockwave is an audio insert system built specifically to fit the Ruroc ATLAS 4.0 or ATLAS 3.0, seamlessly slotting into the back of the helmet without compromising the ATLAS’ styling or aerodynamics. The new Shockwave features updated magnetic fitting points that do not require any tools or specialist fitment equipment, so there’s no need for sticky pads or clips, and the helmet comes standard with pre-wired cable routing for effortless integration and a fiddle-free set-up. In-helmet communication has never been more straightforward.
Shockwave’s performance doesn’t stop at sound: Ten hours of battery life ensures you’ll always be connected between charges, and the Shockwave’s fail-proof construction with premium materials achieves IP64 certification for shock and water resistance. Not stopping there, the Shockwave system follows recommended decibel ranges to protect your hearing without affecting its performance.
Compatible with Ruroc ATLAS 4.0 and ATLAS 3.0 helmets, the Shockwave with Sound by Harman Kardon launches exclusively on the Ruroc website on 22nd March at 19:00 (GMT), with RRP £170 / €200 / $200.
