Join the Revolution with All-New Jackets from Enginehawk

British-born brand Enginehawk launches its latest 2022 collection, curated with a clear mission to revolutionise the motorcycle industry and redefine traditional motorcycle wear. For the first time since the brand’s inception, female riders can now join the revolution with the arrival of game-changing womenswear additions to the Enginehawk line-up, combining flattering and contemporary looks with premium quality and protection.

Born by the founders of Ruroc Helmets and developed alongside Enginehawk’s Taskforce community of nearly 25,000 passionate riders that contribute to product development, the new collection introduces a range of styles and features that riders actually want from their riding kit, with safety and functionality always at the forefront of every design.

Enginehawk has re-written the rule books when it comes to women’s clothing. Resulting from years of development and continuous rider feedback over the past 12 months, the new ladies’ jackets feature carefully considered designs to blend the lines between fashion, function, protection and motorcycle heritage. Drafting in specialist female tailoring expertise with over 40 years of experience, Enginehawk has achieved a bespoke and realistic size-grading structure that’s tailored to flatter all shapes and sizes.

“Judging by the number of female riders we have as part of our Taskforce community, we knew there was a demand for women’s kit from the offset, but we wanted to do it right,” said James Kent, Design Director at Enginehawk. “One of the biggest challenges was re-imagining our Enginehawk identity with a feminine touch, without compromising attitude, function, quality and style – but this was also our biggest opportunity.

“One of the main factors we had to get right from the very beginning was the fit and sizing, so we took it back to basics, creating the jackets in a traditional ‘moulage’ method to achieve a truly three-dimensional fit, working with live models from start to finish, on and off the bike. We made sure that our partners shared our vision to help us in the process, transferring the designs onto a hand-rendered paper pattern for the factory to sample. From there, we worked closely with the Taskforce community to test the samples at various events and female rider focus groups, gaining valuable feedback, perspectives and opinions, and incorporating this into every detail to finally complete our first-ever women’s collection – one we are very proud of.”

All new motorcycle jackets in the 2022 collection are fully CE-Class AA certified – along with a CE-Class A certified armoured hoodie – and are the first in the motorcycle clothing industry to feature the latest, state-of-the-art RHEON™ armour, including Level 1 central back, elbow and shoulder armour as standard, with the option to upgrade to Level 2 RHEON™ armour. With the integration of technology from the British-based brand RHEON™, Enginehawk’s clothing range is truly revolutionary: Ultra-lightweight, breathable and extremely flexible, RHEON™’s innovative active polymer intelligently strengthens when subjected to force – protecting riders from any amplitude or frequency of energy, including life-changing impacts.

Joining Enginehawk’s existing line-up, the brand’s latest additions resonate with identifiable tribes, all tailored to suit individual riders’ tastes and preferences in riding kit.

ICONIC COLLECTION

Headlining Enginehawk’s Iconic Collection is the .50 Cal UV jacket; where iconic, biker style meets modern technology with state-of-the-art charcoal reflective textile panelling. The .50 Cal UV’s subtly-styled yet highly reflective panels provide extreme illumination no matter the conditions; regardless of whether it’s moonlight, streetlights or headlights, riders will be seen.

For ladies, the Renegade is a no-nonsense contemporary leather riding jacket with a rock ‘n’ roll attitude and meticulous attention to detail to recreate the classic biker look with a strong feminine silhouette. Tapered diamond-quilted panels combined with a lancer-front style and flattering contoured profile seams give the Renegade a seamless transition from riding to everyday style.

CAFE RETRO COLLECTION

New to the Cafe Retro collection and made especially for women is the Revolver jacket; embodying classic biker heritage and culture with its full-grain leather construction and contoured seam lines inspired by retro cafe racer styles. Designed for lighter wear, featuring elements such as an abrasion-resistant ‘jersey-like textile’ underarm for enhanced comfort, the Revolver is engineered for optimal fit and style off the bike as well as performance on the bike. Bringing the jacket into the 21st century is its UV reflective strips on the arms for added visibility in poor conditions.

TESTED & TRUE COLLECTION

Protective biker jacket meets classic utility shirt with the new Deadeye shacket. Constructed from tough-yet-breathable materials and designed to take on the harshest of rides – from hills and highways to deserts and forests – the Deadeye’s liquid-gold colouring makes it a style statement without compromising comfort and practicality thanks to ample storage options and soft lining.

URBAN REBEL COLLECTION

A hooded jacket like no other, the Predator Evo is a new hybrid take on Enginehawk’s customer-favourites, the Raptor and Predator jackets. Engineered from super-supple, premium laundered leather with a full-length front zip, but maintaining that same fierce appearance.

Following huge demand from the female riding community for a ‘badass textile’ option, the Jett is a fresh take on women’s riding wear, with a casual, contemporary style. The Jett jacket is street-ready with a water-resistant, heavy-duty nylon shell, reinforced diamond-stitched full-grain leather quilting on the shoulders and stacks of utility.

Delivering effortless style, the Jackal hoodie is lightweight but strong, armoured but deceptively casual, and discreet but unquestionably Enginehawk. Constructed with highly abrasion-resistant materials with the latest RHEON™ armour integration, the Jackal is a casual hoodie that packs a lot of protection.
