RUROC LAUNCHES ATLAS 4.0 TRACK

Ruroc announces the latest evolution of the iconic ATLAS helmet range, taking the game-changing 4.0 model to develop a new ‘track’ inspired version, the ATLAS 4.0 TRACK.

Challenging convention, pushing the limits, leading the field, RUROC has taken the challenge head-on, entering the highly competitive sports bike helmet segment with the new ATLAS 4.0 TRACK.

Focussed purely on performance, using the ATLAS 4.0 foundation, the new TRACK model has been optimised for speed and performance, featuring the new T300 lightweight carbon fibre shell, saving 15% over the ATLAS 4.0 road going shell, while reducing the overall weight considerably too.

Ruroc’s Head of Engineering, Tom Savage, commented, “The ATLAS 4.0 TRACK is our most significant evolution of a model range yet. Through thousands of hours of development, in the lab, in the wind tunnel and on the track, we are extremely proud of our first ever track-focussed helmet.

“Much in the same way we worked hard on the ATLAS 4.0 to bring new technology to the market, the new TRACK sees this technology, such as our integrated RHEON headlining technology, combined with track specific developments, such as the T300 Carbon Fibre shell, moisture-wicking performance liner and cheek pads, as well as track optimised aerodynamics through to a new performance spoiler and side vent caps. Overall, we are extremely proud to offer an ATLAS 4.0 for the track day junkie and sports bike enthusiasts.”

Developed in association with 2016 British Superstock Champion, Taylor Mackenzie, the new ATLAS 4.0 TRACK has undergone extensive testing development on track in the real world conditions. Development of crucial items such as an upper visor seal to deal with the extreme differences between internal and external temperatures on track have been honed, along with the adoption of a track approved DD-ring chinstrap to ensure full track certification, along with optimised aerodynamics. The new ATLAS 4.0 TRACK continues to show Ruroc’s never-ending thirst to challenge convention and prove there is a better way forward.

Colour options include: Core Carbon, Inferno Red, Ice Blue, Titan Gold and Viper Green.

The ATLAS 4.0 TRACK will be available to buy from May 17, with its public debut at round three of the British Superbike Championship at Donington Park, May 19 – 21. For those wishing to try for size in the UK, the ATLAS 4.0 TRACK will be available at Ruroc’s Brand Hubs – Completely Motorbikes, Hinckley and BikeStop, Stevenage.

The ATLAS 4.0 TRACK will be available exclusively online at www.ruroc.com, with prices starting from £550 / €650 / $625
